About the App

Big Music is a music player for people who find ordinary music apps too hard to use: older people, and anyone living with the effects of a stroke, an accident or another disability. It plays the music that is already on the phone. No account, no subscription, no internet and no adverts.

Key Features

• Big and Clear: Three large buttons for Back, Play/Pause and Next, each with a written label. Large text in three sizes, with light and dark high-contrast colours
• Easy With One Hand: The most used buttons sit within reach of your thumb. No swiping, long presses or tiny icons, and a shaky double tap counts as one press
• Simple Music Choice: Play all songs mixed with one tap, or choose by artist, album, playlist or song. Long lists have big rows and a “Jump to a letter” button
• Thoughtful Details: Picks up where you left off, works with lock screen, headphone and Bluetooth controls, and pauses for phone calls
• For Family and Carers: Set up playlists once, so they can be played with a single tap. Works with TalkBack, Switch Access and a keyboard
• Privacy First: No accounts, no ads, no tracking and no internet access. All data stays on the device

Technical Details

Built with Flutter for both iOS and Android. The app never connects to the internet. Settings, playlists and the last played position are stored locally on the device.
